About the Market Featured

Hailsham Farmers' Market is "the place" to go for your Saturday morning shopping trip.   On Saturday 14th October we are celebrating the Autumn Harvest season with visits from Hailsham Parish Church Choir, Hailsham Bonfire Society and a children’s Harvest Hunt.

We have a wide selection of local, high-quality traceable produce and crafts with meat products from traditional Sussex breeds at Cooper’s Farm to Renhurst Farm’s excellent range which includes pre-prepared pies/meals and cured meats.  Fresh fish and seafood from The Angry Whelk, baked goods from The Homely Maid and a selection of delicious cakes from Carol’s Confections – whole or by the slice – extend the range of locally-produced goods on sale at the Farmers’ Market.

Wallace Plants will be offering their usual extensive range of ornamental plants as well as kitchen garden starter plants and herbs.  The Bee People have a wide selection of honey-based products including freshly-gathered honey, marmalade and chutney, as well as skin care products and beeswax candles.

Helping us look after wildlife in winter, Woodworx Sussex have a range of hand-made sturdy hedgehog homes, bird, bat and bee boxes, as well as their usual ornamental and functional planters and trugs.

Hailsham Bonfire Society volunteers will continue their fund-raising work selling programmes and showcasing their costumes for Hailsham Bonfire Night which takes place in the town centre on Saturday 21st October.

Park right on site, browse through the selection of stalls and talk to the people who have brought the goods to market;

Pick from the wide range of high-quality, local, fresh and traceable produce and crafts on offer.

Pack your shopping straight into your car boot.

Pop in to the Market Cafe to rest and recover from your exertions and take the opportunity to meet up with old and new friends from the local community - all without leaving the Market site.

Hailsham Farmers' Produce & Craft Market is a lively vibrant event which takes place on the second Saturday of every month on the Cattle Market site near Hailsham town centre. The Farmers' Market boasts a variety of delicious fresh local produce and a diverse craft section for those unusual gifts.   You can even buy fruit and vegetable plants raised and supplied by a local nursery so that you can get your crops off to a good start to "grow your own".

Established almost 20 years ago, the Farmers' Market takes place in the Cattle Market site, hosting local Farmers, Producers and Crafters

We also enjoy the company of guest charities.  Cuckmere Buses use the Market to give volunteers the opportunity to try one of their buses with the aim of becoming a regular driver on the popular local buses.  Many people use the Cuckmere Bus to take them directly from their home in the surrounding area into the centre of Hailsham and deliver them back again after they have had a chance to shop and meet their friends.

Market visitors are able to talk to the Farmers, Producers and Crafters and learn more about the goods on offer - where they come from and how they are made.  We feel it is important to offer high-quality produce with a traceable history.

We offer FREE on-site parking so that you don't have to carry your purchases too far - and you can get refreshments in the Market Café with its traditional Fare.

Hailsham Farmers' Market never cancels - whatever the weather we are here - second Saturday of every month.
